Course Overview
This specialized social impact measurement course equips sustainability directors, ESG managers, community impact leads, and policy advisors in the technology and telecommunications sector with the analytical frameworks needed to evaluate non-financial outcomes and tech-driven social value. Fast-paced innovation, digital infrastructure expansion, and AI deployment bring distinct social opportunities and ethical risks. Beyond corporate philanthropy, tech and telecom firms must rigorously measure digital inclusion, algorithmic fairness, data privacy outcomes, digital literacy programs, and supply chain worker welfare. Completing this social impact course online or in-person delivers sector-tailored tools designed for cloud providers, telecom operators, hardware manufacturers, and software platforms.
Across this 5-day intensive program, participants immerse themselves in tech-specific social impact learning. Early modules establish how to build robust Theory of Change models for digital equity initiatives, AI ethics governance, and rural connectivity projects. Subsequent sessions focus on quantitative social metrics, ethical field and digital data collection, financial monetization through Social Return on Investment (SROI), and alignment with sector benchmarks—including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Telecommunications disclosures, World Economic Forum (WEF) Digital Inclusion metrics, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By analyzing real-world tech case studies, participants master measuring digital access outcomes, platform safety, and long-term socio-economic mobility.
Upon the successful completion of this Social Impact Measurement and Reporting Training Course for Technology and Telecommunications, participants will be able to:
ü Design Theory of Change models tailored to digital literacy programs, rural telecom rollouts, tech access grants, and AI-for-good initiatives.
ü Establish quantitative social indicators covering digital divide closure, algorithmic impact, data privacy protection, and tech supply chain labor standards.
ü Monetize social outcomes and calculate Social Return on Investment (SROI) for connectivity infrastructure, digital skills academies, and open-source tech investments.
ü Execute ethical data collection protocols, privacy-by-design impact evaluations, and digital user feedback systems.
ü Publish audit-ready social impact reports aligned with GRI disclosures, SASB Software & IT/Telecommunication standards, and global ESG frameworks.
Training Methodology
This course uses an interactive, practical methodology designed for ESG analysts, tech policy leads, and corporate responsibility managers. Delivery combines expert presentations, tech sector case studies, and hands-on analytical workshops. Participants work directly with digital inclusion calculators, algorithmic impact matrices, and SROI financial proxy models. Every module includes a practical session where participants directly apply evaluation tools to real-world tech and telecom scenarios. The course is designed to be highly interactive, challenging and stimulating. Our facilitators are seasoned industry professionals with years of expertise in their chosen fields. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English.
