Course Overview

This comprehensive training course provides hands-on expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data processing, transcriptomic profiling, and bioinformatic pipelines designed for bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, computational biologists, and life science researchers. As high-throughput sequencing technologies continue to redefine modern biological research and precision medicine, mastering the skills required to process, analyze, and interpret RNA sequencing data is essential. Through immersive computational workshops, real-world case studies, and practical workflows using Linux environments, R, and Bioconductor packages, participants will build robust end-to-end pipelines to transform raw FASTQ sequencing files into actionable biological insights.

Participants will gain thorough practical exposure across the entire transcriptomic analysis continuum, including quality control, read alignment, transcript quantification, differential expression testing, and downstream pathway enrichment analysis. The curriculum expands into advanced frontiers such as single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), alternative splicing analysis, long-read transcriptomics, and multi-omics integration. By bridging the gap between bench science and high-performance bioinformatic computing, this course empowers researchers to implement reproducible data analysis standards, avoid common experimental artifacts, and extract meaningful functional mechanisms from complex genomic datasets.
