Masterclass in Strategic Crisis Communication and Reputation Management for the Oil & Gas Sector

Masterclass in Strategic Crisis Communication and Reputation Management for the Oil & Gas Sector

Course Overview

The Oil & Gas industry operates under the most intense public and regulatory scrutiny in the world. This specialized training course is designed to equip Corporate Affairs Officers with the strategic frameworks required to manage the unique reputational threats inherent in the energy sector—from environmental incidents and supply chain disruptions to geopolitical volatility and community activism. We move beyond standard PR tactics to provide a high-stakes roadmap for maintaining organizational "Social License to Operate" in a world increasingly focused on energy transition and sustainability.

The curriculum integrates sector-specific risk modelling with advanced crisis response protocols tailored for upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Participants will explore the technical nuances of communicating during spills, health and safety (HSE) incidents, and regulatory inquiries. By blending global energy case studies with rigorous simulations, the course ensures that communication leaders can coordinate effectively with technical teams, government bodies, and international media to protect brand equity and operational continuity.
