🧪 Geospatial Systems & Development Training: Advanced GIS, Remote Sensing, and Database Management Course

Course Overview

This intensive, 5-day program is a specialized training focused on the technical integration of GIS for advanced environmental and chemical analysis. The course provides in-depth skills in leveraging GIS and remote sensing courses in environmental chemistry to monitor, model, and visualize pollution and chemical dispersal. Crucially, participants will gain expertise in robust GIS and database management techniques, ensuring data integrity and scalability, culminating in hands-on GIS application development for creating custom, user-friendly geospatial tools.

The curriculum provides a brief overview of the topics, covering the use of satellite imagery to detect chemical spills, advanced geodatabase design for environmental monitoring networks, spatial analysis techniques for plume modelling, structured query language (SQL) for efficient data retrieval, Python programming for GIS application development, and the deployment of web-based mapping solutions. This training moves beyond basic GIS mapping to focus on system design and development.
