Course Overview
The Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) sector has evolved into a sophisticated cornerstone of global financial markets, offering a unique vehicle for property investment and capital appreciation. This training course provides a high-level technical analysis of REIT structures, operational management, and the regulatory frameworks governing both public and private entities. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how REITs aggregate capital to acquire, manage, and finance income-producing real estate across diverse asset classes.
The curriculum transitions from the foundational mechanics of REIT formation to advanced topics such as Net Asset Value (NAV) modelling, FFO (Funds From Operations) analysis, and dividend distribution strategies. We will explore the critical differences between publicly traded, public non-traded, and private REITs, including liquidity profiles and investor suitability. Key areas of focus include tax transparency requirements, portfolio optimization, asset management best practices, and the impact of interest rate cycles on REIT valuation and capital structure.
