Course Overview
The Advanced MS Project and Primavera P6 Professional Tools Training Course is an elite technical program designed for project controls professionals who need to master the world's leading scheduling softwares. In the high-stakes environment of engineering, construction, and IT, the ability to create robust, dynamic, and risk-adjusted schedules is the difference between project success and failure. This course moves beyond basic task entry, focusing on high-level integration, complex resource leveling, and the synchronization of multi-project portfolios across both Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6 environments.
The curriculum is structured to provide a side-by-side mastery of both platforms, allowing participants to understand when and how to deploy each tool effectively. Key topics include advanced Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation, S-Curve generation, and global data management. By the end of this intensive training, participants will be equipped to manage large-scale enterprise project structures, handle complex dependencies, and produce professional executive-level reports that drive data-centric decision-making.
Upon the successful completion of this Advanced Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 Professional Tools Training Course participants will be able to:
ü Navigate and configure advanced settings in both MS Project and Primavera P6.
ü Develop complex Enterprise Project Structures (EPS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
ü Execute advanced resource leveling and optimization for multi-project environments.
ü Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) to track project performance and variances.
ü Generate sophisticated S-Curves, Histograms, and custom executive reports.
ü Perform "What-If" scenario analysis and schedule risk assessment.
Training Methodology
The course is designed to be highly interactive, challenging and stimulating. It will be an instructor led training and will be delivered using a blended learning approach comprising of:
ü Practical, computer-based workshops with 1:1 software interaction
ü Real-world project data simulation and scheduling exercises
ü Comparative analysis sessions between MS Project and P6 functionalities
ü Group collaborative planning and problem-solving scenarios
ü Demonstration of advanced plug-ins and integration techniques
Our facilitators are seasoned industry professionals with years of expertise in their chosen fields. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English.
